Team India arrives at Mumbai airport - Grand reception
There were times when Indian team had to come to their homes hiding from Indian fans.But today with their gracious winning of the first t20 world cup fans are delighted and giving a grand reception to its Team India.
With the world at their feet, Men in Blue arrived to a hero’s welcome at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport here on Wednesday morning.
The Indian cricket team, which beat arch rivals Pakistan in a nerve-wrecking final at the Wanderers in Johannesburg to lift the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup on Monday, arrived by flight EK-504.
Among those who welcomed the team at the airport were BCCI chief Sharad Pawar, Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, PWD Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, Chairman of selectors Dilip Vengsarkar, BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah and hundreds of drum-beating supporters.
